Path & Green is a non profit, 501(c)(3) organization. Our mission is to provide hope and a future to Lorain County girls in need by ending hygiene insecurity and period poverty.

We partner with local school districts and community-serving organizations to provide personal care items. Beyond meeting their basic needs, Path & Green wants girls to know they are….

Our Why

As a former educator, our founder saw her students go without basic hygiene products and clothing which affected their performance in the classroom, mental health, and attendance record.

What We Fight For

  • To End Hygiene Insecurity

Hygiene Insecurity is the inability to purchase or access personal care items like shampoo, body wash, deodorant, toothpaste, or menstrual products. Hygiene is the 1st consequence of poverty. 18% of girls in Lorain County live below the federal poverty line.

  • To Support Teen Girls

Beyond the normal pressures of being an adolescent girl, Covid created more problems for this vulnerable population. According to the CDC, from June 2020 - March 2021, suspected suicide rates were up 50% among teen girls. Teen girls need our help more than ever!

  • To End Period Poverty

Period poverty is the inability to purchase or access menstrual products like tampons or sanitary pads. 1 in 5 girls in America missed school due to period poverty. Students of color, lower-income students, and rural students are the most impacted by issues of access.
